Mechanically Inclined Laboratory Technician, Tampa Bay Area

 

 Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, required. AS degree or BS degree in Life Sciences/chemistry or other industry related discipline is preferred.

 

Additional Qualifications

• Desired experience and knowledge of formulation tools and equipment
  Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and activities
  Strong interpersonal skills
  Exceptional Organizational and Documentation Skills
  Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite is preferable
  Attention to detail and positive attitude are key attributes
  Able to follow rules and regulations
  Able to stand for long periods of time
  Able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
  Able to wear PPE (mask, gloves, respiratory, etc.)
  Work closely with Quality Assurance and other departments as needed.      

 

Responsibilities

This individual hired for this position will ….

• Be responsible for daily formulation activities to ensure on-time completion of projects, availability of formulation materials, and readiness of equipment.

• Perform manufacturing and packaging activities as needed.

• Support analytical testing as requested by lab personnel

• Initiate the production of R&D batch documentation

• Complete all batch records accurately and completely prior to submission to supervision for review

• Comply with all area SOPs and ensure logbooks are completed

• Author process deviations when these occur within the department, participate in investigations, and contribute to identifying corrective and preventative actions

• Accountable for timely communication to management and clients of issues, challenges as well as opportunities for process improvements

• Other duties as assigned
